MEET BRENDA ANN
ARTIST BIO
Brenda Ann has studied fine art in college and enjoys working primarily in the medium of watercolor. She owns a ceramic business in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. She loves night photography and art history. She was president of the Florida Keys Watercolor Society for six years and led their 37th and 38th annual exhibitions as Show Chair. She loves painting en plein air or in her studio and creates merchandise like annual calendars which feature her art.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Like most artists, my work reflects my life experiences. I love bright colors and tropical locations. I feel excited when watercolors mix on paper and create dynamic effects. I love trying to capture the sentimental aspects of life in my art. To improve my skills, I have attended college and taken many art workshops over the years. I have lived in Florida for many winters, and loved capturing the magic of the Florida Keys in my photography and art. I love the beauty of the coast in southern New Jersey, my home. I enjoy creating art with different mediums -- acrylic paints, watercolor, pastels, mixed media, graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, ceramics, glass, and mosaics. I also love digital art and graphic design. I am grateful for my education, my wonderful professors, and for everyone who has supported me over the years.
