ARTIST STATEMENT
Like most artists, my work reflects my life experiences. I love bright colors and tropical locations. I paint because I feel excited when watercolors mix on paper and create dynamic effects. I love trying to capture the sentimental aspects of life in my art. I have lived in Florida for many winters and loved capturing the magic of the Florida Keys in my photography and art. I love the beauty of the coast in southern New Jersey. I enjoy creating art with different mediums -- acrylic paints, watercolor, pastels, mixed media, graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, ceramics, glass, and mosaics. I also love digital art and graphic design. I am grateful for my education, my outstanding professors, and everyone who has supported me.

My art is a reflection of my life experiences, infused with vibrant colors and inspired by both South Jersey and tropical landscapes. I want my new art to create a sense of whimsy and at the same time majesty to remind us of the beauty that is around us that we may take for granted, and how on any given day can we look back at the past and realize how beautiful it was! I want to appreciate the present moment more. I want to make trees and landscapes dance and sing with color. I want to bring beauty to every day life. My new word to encompass my life as an artist is WHIMSICALISM, because I seek to find the beauty and light-hearted fun in life.
