A Beautiful Weekend at the Stone Harbor Festival of Fine Craft
August 29 & 30, 2026 | Stone Harbor, New Jersey
What a beautiful weekend it was at the Festival of Fine Craft in Stone Harbor!
After a rainy Friday that had us wondering what the weekend might bring, Saturday morning arrived with exactly what we were hoping for: blue skies, beautiful clouds, a gentle ocean breeze, and the kind of summer weather that makes you want to linger outside just a little longer.
A Weekend Made for Art
Brenda was delighted to bring her watercolors to the festival and spend the weekend surrounded by fellow artists, craftspeople, and art lovers.
This year was especially exciting because she had something new to unveil: her new watercolor surfaces, a collection of original works and presentations she has been eagerly looking forward to sharing.
Alongside the new pieces were some of the familiar favorites that have become part of the Brenda Ann collection, including traditional watercolor prints in beautiful matted options.
And, of course, there were plenty of tiny treasures for visitors to discover.
Tiny Treasures & Golden Details
One of the most fun parts of the booth was the collection of miniature magnets and tiny little treasures—small pieces of Stone Harbor and the Jersey Shore that visitors could take home with them.
Brenda also introduced her charming gold-framed miniature prints and originals, each hanging from delicate gold chains. These little artworks were designed to be enjoyed in an entirely different way— tiny paintings suitable for dollhouse walls.
There is something particularly special about taking a little piece of the shore with you, whether it is a watercolor destined for your wall, a matted print, or one of these tiny golden treasures.
The Best Part? Meeting You.
While the artwork is what brought Brenda to the festival, the people are what made the weekend truly memorable.
Saturday and Sunday were filled with conversations, familiar faces, new introductions, compliments on the artwork, stories about Stone Harbor, and plenty of wonderful connections.
There is something special about being able to step away from the studio and meet the people who enjoy and collect the artwork in person. Every conversation, every new connection, and every person who stopped by to say hello made the weekend feel even more meaningful.
Sunday was a little warmer than Saturday, but the weather remained delightful, and the perfect breeze made it easy to enjoy being outdoors. With blue skies overhead and the beautiful Stone Harbor surroundings all around us, it was hard to imagine a better setting for a weekend devoted to fine art and handmade work.
Until Next Time, Stone Harbor
As summer begins its slow transition toward fall, weekends like this one are a wonderful reminder of why Stone Harbor is such a special place for artists and art lovers alike.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by Brenda’s booth at the 2026 Festival of Fine Craft—whether you purchased a painting, discovered a new favorite, picked up a tiny treasure, chatted for a few minutes, or simply stopped to admire the work.
Thank you for making this such a wonderful weekend.
We loved meeting you, sharing Brenda’s newest work, and celebrating the beauty of Stone Harbor together.
Until the next festival, keep looking for those little moments of beauty. They are everywhere.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My goal for my artwork is to capture the beauty of everyday scenes. I use boldly applied colors to heighten the visual impact of my compositions, which often feature subjects like architecture and flowers. My artwork draws inspiration from the landscapes of South Jersey where I live and colorful tropical environments like Sanibel Island, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater Beach, Orlando, Cape Canaveral, Kissimmee, Marathon, Islamorada, Key Largo, Big Pine Key, and Key West in Florida, and St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In my work, I try to capture nature that I discover on my morning walks and in our backyard, as with my 28-foot painting of hydrangeas, Life Cycle. This large watercolor was created on a roll of paper too large for a desk, so it was painted on the floor with me standing over it, as Jackson Pollock did with his drip paintings. I used large watercolor brushes and professional watercolor paints. I had to wait hours and sometimes days for each section to dry. This piece is my tribute to the humble hydrangea, which is featured in much of our design work at my family's flower shop. It reminds me to appreciate the beauty of life. Through abstracted realism, this work reminds me to move toward contentment and spiritual harmony, suggesting that true serenity emerges from acknowledging the miraculous natural world.
